Mark Husey [hue-zee] has been widely acclaimed as "a musical Renaissance man" for his gifts as conductor, organist, accompanist, and tenor. A native of rural Harford County, Maryland, he now resides in Miami, Florida, where he maintains an active teaching and performing career.

The recipient of both academic and performance scholarships from Westminster Choir College and Yale, Mr. Husey holds the Master of Arts degree from Saint Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana. His choirs have performed at Washington National Cathedral, on CBS This Morning, and in the PBS documentary The Jew in the Lotus. A list of the major works he has conducted appears through this link.

Mark HuseyAs an organist, Mr. Husey received first prizes in the 1991 Music Teachers' National Association Organ Competition in Miami, and in the 1993 Baltimore-Washington American Guild of Organists Young Artists Competition. Mr. Husey holds the distinction of being one of the few organists reviewed in Opera News magazine.
